looks professional on one hand, but on the other, i'm not
impressed with the design. to me, it looks a bit too generic
(especially the font). if i would walk in a cd-shop i would
walk straight past this one. it just looks too much like all
the others.
i appreciate the effort though.

....but that's just why you called it mock. ok, i get it

thanks for the honesty. maybe my love for that font has
clouded my artsistic judgement. :)

VERY nice design, but not really for an Aphex album. BTW,
what album is it or is it your own compilation, etc.?

all the songs listed are just ones i like, so yeah, bit of a
compilation. i know it doesn't really fit in with the aphex
convention, but what can ya do eh. thanks for the comment.

cheers hanal.
i think your right about the theme of the imagry, probobly
not classic aphex style.

the font is cool... the A made of text is fantastic. just
the front cover doesn't really fit aphex's style, imo. nice
job!

Cool, some snazzy ideas, I love that font too. Just as long
as youre not being graded on how much aphex nerds feel it
catches that special aphex feeling

nice production, but it seems like you have a lot of ideas
going on all at once. if you're going to use the aphex logo
as prominently as you did on the inside, it should be a bit
more prominent on the outside as well. also, the images of
the don't really correspond with anything. i like the reel
to reel machine, but the people don't really fit.

i do like the font and certain elements of the layout, but
it definitely could be more cohesive. B+

Yeah dannn_
Your right about it not being judged by aphex fans. So the
teachers weren't really looking at it in that context.

Fork: I was aware of the lack of authenticity as far as his
style goes. I still do think that the cover could work for
like a analouge BB ep or something, cause of its
oldschool-ness. Good observation about the inconsistancy
between the inside booklet/cover.

Thank you everybody for the responses.

classy. i like it. : )

i agree that the front cover might not perfectly fit with
the rest though... now i would be careful before saying that
it doesn't suit aphex's style; i wouldn't have thought the
26 mixes for cash or the hangable auto bulb ep
covers to be very "aphextwinny" either. i especially like
the unfolded back "booklet" with the child photograph and...
whatever it is on the right, with the outline "aphex twin"
text. i like the font too.

(why "290584" by the way? is it a date?)

(note: i'm not comparing your artwork to the ones for 26
mixes for cash
or hangable auto bulb... they're
pretty much nothing alike)
