My ears are ringing. I hope it's not permanent. Never
happened to me before after a show but it's understandable.

Oren opened with a short Oren-style set but added some
higher end noise in as well. Very nice.

Boris is just not for me. I think they're awful. (Aside
from the "Psychedelic") Pop songs with drenching low end
distortion.

SunnO))) was very good. Played a bit over an hour and the
feedback didn't stop once. The drummer from Boris (or maybe
it was the singer) played the gong and sang (screamed and
mortified the crowd). He also crowded surfed for about a
minute. Oren played in this as well. And there were two
other dudes as well, one playing a Moog, and another playing
bass along with O'Malley and Anderson on guitar. Some were
drinking wine and threw it on the crowd at times. It's
gotta be a lot of fun for these guys but I wonder how they
aren't deaf yet.

You could hear bits of Black One in there, but for the most
part it was improvised with O'Malley leading the way with
body signals.

It was at an old church turned club called The Avalon in
NYC, so that added to the creepy factor.

They wore robes and there was a smoke machine. There was
also about 8 or 9 amps but not all were Sunn amps.
Regardless, it was great.

Very very memorable show (hopefully not because I have
hearing damage now) but I'm not sure if I'd see them again
because it's a bit too extreme.

I saw them once for free and then just headed off after a
while... Too loud. I like my Doom Metal, but that shit was
just too loud and too monotonous at times.

sounds great and your ears will probably stop ringing in a
day or two.

i think the loudness is vital to the overall experience.
at home i find SunnO))) rather boring... khanate do the job
better there.

Probably just a reference to the actual Sunn amp brand?
Someone probably used them while producing the music?

Or maybe the show is actually really indie, I dunno.
