well said......

Schumacher will be remembered as being good, but he will
never be great.......

The true greats have more than just results, they have style
and grace......... Michael has neither.

Valentino Rossi will be remembered as the motorsports-man of
our time......... he has achieved greatness AND has
maintained his credilbility

both.

darkpromenade, rossi is an excellent example of how you can
stay the way you were even when you had all the success,
fame and money. he's always the same, with same nice
attitude, seems modest and truthful.

rossi has done some dirty moves too in the past

not that much though

oh yeah? even if he did, he's still a completly different
person than the evil schumacher. no wonder he's got no
friends. i feel sorry for his wife too.

well as I said, not as many bad moves as shumi, just a pair
of them.

but yres, he is a nice guy, and everybody respect him for
what he is, the best in history

he also seems to be nice

but in real thoughts.... we dont know them in person

we don't. there's always doubt, but as you see in this
thread most people seem to think schumacher isn't a nice
person, so that says something too probably. + the fact that
no one likes him in the f1 paddock says something too..he's
probably a nice family person, real nice to his wife and
kids, i don't doubt that, but he has created this awful
image of himself in the media and it's all his fault. he's
done some weird moves for a human being, especially when
senna had that accident. many fans turned against him at
that time, and if he'd shown more sympathy at that time he
would almost certanly be more populat nowdays too. it was
his own fault and he had time to correct it, but apperantly
this way suits him more..

First engine failure since 2000 (possibly) costs him the
championship..........

Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke............

out...... to run him off the track....... all the drivers
hate him....

i don't like schumacher very much, but probably he is faster
driver of foruma1 history (with ayrton senna)

Just read he gives up on the Championship, he don't wanna
win if Alonso has to be out for that. Strange...

“As for the drivers’ (title) it is lost," said
the German. "I don’t want to head off for a race,
hoping that my rival has to retire. That is not the way in
which I want to win the title.”

alonso may be a little idiot
schumacher is the best f1 driver ever... but also a great
cheater

I am glad of what happened

also alonso saw his car breaking when he was first in some
other races too

they're both kinda dumb assholes, and as much as i don't
like schumacher i'd still rather see him win that this even
more pretentious spaniard. at least schumacher has some
reason to be pretentious..

nobody has reasons to be pretentious

the diference is that shumacher also cheates everytime he
cans

alsonso doesnt... yet

well he won 7 championships so i can understand why it would
get in his head. there's always 50 people around him so he
must feel important. and i don't like what he's doing now.
he's been a real jerk throughout his all career, deliberatly
doing all sorts of shit, and these last few months he's
playing an angel..

i don't know much about alonso, he just looks a bit slow (in
his head) from what i managed to see so far..

I dont think he is slow... he seems to be very intelligent,
he never fails to preasure, he is cold taking decisions...
I dont see why he could be seen as slow...

from what I know you (very little) I see you easily judge
public people in a way that only people who really knew them
could do...

I think you have tons of prejudices, be careful with that

he can drive a car but that doesn't make him intelligent. ok
then instead of slow in the head i could use term childish.
afterall he's only something over 20 so that's ok. maybe
he'll pick up on things later on..and not act like a monkey.

its funny how often you use the term "childish", you shall
look at yourself as a very mature person by the way you
judge as childish so many people, attitudes and musics

in fact he is very young... actually the youngest champion
in f1 history

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2006-10-09 06:58 [#01984439]

my childiness doesn't make alonso any less childish :)

as i said he is not childish, just dont compare him with a
40 year old man like schumi

he is young and he is making history in his sport... and he
shows his enjoyment, thats all

I do think though he should have more empathy with the mass
media

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2006-10-09 07:05 [#01984441]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

if i compared him to schumacher i don't know if i'd find him
that childish. but schumacher isn't exactly some role model
when it comes to childness :)

and you don't have to take everything i say as a fact you
know. both schumacher and alonso are in private probably
real nice guys, i just don't like their public persona.
they're both dicks in that respect.
