I think I have Blue Bossa on CD; I didn't manage to get any
other Speed Jack jobs. I wasn't really all that keen on it.

If I get the chance this weekend, and if I remember, I'll
dig it out and give it another listen.

great, another earth/godel discussion

ok, you're right: it's made by aphex twin trying to sound
not like aphex at all...and he succeeded awfully well at it,
i must say. if this is aphex i'll eat my shoe!

What year was the cd/record (is it in discogs?) released ?

So then it must have been ok with mark to have this done. I
guess I didnt know that mark and richie had a connection a
long time ago, just on the same label.

Are there other Speedjack releases ?

anyone know if there will be some rereleases of Apollo
records? I've been looking for this Small Fish
With Spine 12" for ages.

I also bought the Speed Jack - Surge album the other day. I
didnt get a hold of it back when it came out, and I suddenly
remembered it (the day after I found that R&S had been
ressurected)

also, does anyone know if they are only reissuing, or
starting up in full?

I was going to say "Faceless Techno Bollocks", but then.. I
dimly remembered.. that was Rising High not R&S. But I still
felt like saying it. Then I tried to remember what label
carried the legend "On the dance scene, at all times" but my
memory, like some sodden bar mat, couldn't come up with
anything useful.

"storm" has a really great sound to it.

I am actually surprised at how long the sample was. Usually
samples run about :30 from my memory. I was quite pleasantly
surprised to see this one clock in at 1:30

This track is good night time driving music. Especially
through a downtown district.

Actually "valentino" has that same vibe to it in my opinion.
Its not at all what i expected as i thought of "lenny
valentino" from that u-ziq vs the auters. This is a good
track

"Early Reflection" has some cool sounds to it too!

Overall this sizes up to be a pretty cool release!

to win friends and influence people slating rising high, now
are you? :)

No no no, RIsing High had an ironic t-shirt printed up with
the legend "Faceless Techno Bollocks" after forward thinking
music papers like the NME spent week after week wringing
their hands wondering what was happening to music and why
weren't the kids listening to "personalities" like Ride and
instead faceless techno bollocks which was OBVIOUSLY not
rock and roll (ie worshipping some bloke in tight trousers)

A lot of "techno" acts are fucking ugly, I think the whole
faceless thing should've been maintained.
