I know this is old news but this is the greatest video on earth for so many reasons

also I found it disturbing that there are no dakota fanning
threads on this board.

haha, yeah isn't he priceless? he's nearly hyperventilating.
those two guys sitting next to him that keep harassing him
about his nervous ticks are hilarious too.

He really looks like he wants to be some other place. It is
pretty funny, in that evil way

that girl is kind of freaky. it's never a good sign when a
kid that age talks about her "career" (not here, in other
interviews).

anyway - I bet the Japanese kid can jizz more than combo.

I really dislike her psuedo-adult acting. She's pretty good
at playing a precocious young adult Ill grant her that, but
she cant even play a character her own age right.

my finger on why... it's kind of creepy. I feel sorry for
the poor lad though. I guess this is supposed to be
lolz-a-plenty or something but i just found it really
stressful.

They should do a whole series with the guy. Imagine him
interviewing Pamela Anderson or Carmen Electra or someone
like that!

jeezz, i had to turn it off. the kid was so nervous it was
killing me.

wierd how she said that she learned some of the greatest
lessons that she'll ever learn from him... i mean, she's
like 7 years old or something. she's got quite a while to
learn more lessons.

wow these are not the reactions I expected :D although I
guess I can see how it would be stressful to some people.

she def does sound to 'adultish' at times, which has always
bothered me, but the Welch's girl? she just seems like a
sweet little girl who's been told what to say whereas Dakota
can be almost eerily grown up.

Dirty: as for the Japanese kid, I don't think an interview
with Carmen/Pamela/whoever would work the same way.. this
kid has a peculiar fascination with Dakota, which some folks
seem to find creepy. I think the fact that he's sweating
bullets over meeting a 12 year old is why it's so funny..
I'm glad you liked the clip too :)

uviol your own fasination with children is fucking nutty.
Why is it disturbing that there are no dakota fanning
threads on this board?

The clip is shite though. I have saw school kids from many
countries acting the same way around someone famous they
like. Fucking hell, you only have to say the name of a
place to get 500 American cheering and clapping like mental
patients.

if you read the message board associated with this film on
youtube, there's a bunch of comments like, "what the fuck is
wrong with these japs and their fucked up tv. japs is so
fucked up."

being half jap, i am 50% offended by this. but because i am
half white, i'm i'm also 30% scared of my other 50%. the
remaining 20% is like, "oh who cares about japs, i'm an
american," if i did my math right.

your 50% Jap side should point those commenters towards the
Fox News Network.

or Oprah Winfrey.

you know, you could point them to quite a lot of stuff. but
I guess your 30% whiteyness wouldn't like that.

Yeah, it's true. America has it's share of fucked up things
too, we just don't recognize it as such. It's only the
glaring stylistic differences that throw people off, I
think. At the end of the day, like ecnadniarb said, its
basically a nervous American/whatever school kid meeting an
idol. It seems outrageous because of the sound effects, the
language barrier, the vastly different narrative techniques,
on-screen mix of character types, etc. But that's also why
I like it so much.

Why is it disturbing that there are no dakota fanning
threads on this board?

She's one of the nation's most popular child stars. Hell, a
search for avril lavigne turns up 4 pages of results, seems
lopsided to me.

(and, I was trying to get a rise out of someone :)
