i like their new album. I've been patient with this band,
so many quarter good three quarter shite albums since
vitalogy. This one is good.

Nice to hear. I have problems believing that I will really
love a new PJ-album, but many reviewers have given thumbs up
to this, so I look forward to hear it.

i think they've been quite consistant... i mean they've not
made a 100% shit album.. ever..

oh what's the use

haha.

I've tried SO hard to like their albums since vitalogy
(which is my fav). But there's no argument to say that there
aren't a vast amount of shite songs on them.
I really like the new one. It's just lots of good rock
songs.

They are playing with Tom Petty here Jun 30 and 31. I most
likely cant go as i wasted alot of my money and tickets
already went on sale. Vedder's vocals are usually great!

i suspect eddie wrote a lot more of the songs on this one.
All the ones after vitalogy everyone started writing any old
shite.

Or maybe the other band members have finally figured out how
to write half decent songs for once.

i'll probably give this a go too. always had a soft one for
the jamsers.

anyone else loop the fuck out of "lukin" to make it 10 times
longer as its such a killer track?

yes. I also looped that little tiny song on their first live
album. I forget the name. It was great though.

as i thought, vedder writes the lyrics to every song except
one. That's why it's good this time round.

hmm, i might give this a listen. i too am of the same
opinion as triplet, everything up to vitalogy was good then
it all went pear shaped. i can't even remember what came
after vitalogy now, sum album with a mosiac of pics on the
front? then i think i bought the one after that which had a
road sign or sumthin as the cover.....then i vowed never to
buy another PJ album again....have they done many since
then?

ten
vs
vitalogy
no code
yield
bunch of live stuff
an entire world tour each date on a seperate album
binaural
riot act
rearview mirror (best of)
pearl jam

between vitalogy and 'pearl jam' there's about an album
worth of great material.

oh, and 'lost dogs' a collection of rarities that never made
the shit albums because they weren't good enough. Hmm.

fav tracks:

unemployable
big wave
marker in the sand

this album is growing on me loads. I think it's a more
complete effort than anything they've done before. Vitalogy
has my favourite songs on it, but it drifts about a bit in
the middle. This one is pretty solid.

Pearl Jam are just as cheesy as all the 80's hair metal
bands, without the saving grace of actually being fun.

come to send, not condescend

transcendental consequence

is to transcend where we are

who are we? who we are

trampled moss on your souls

changes all you're a part

seen it all, not at all

can't defend fucked up man

take me a for a ride before we leave...

hhahahhah
all you over intlectualised and snobbed or snob-to be

I shut and locked the front door

No way in or out

I turned and walked the hallway

And pulled the curtains down

I knelt and emptied the mouth of every club around

But nothing's sound, nothing's sound

I'd stay but my last cab left me

Ignored all my rounds

Soon I was seeing visions and cracks along the walls

They were upside down

I swallow my words to keep from lying

I swallow my face just to keep from biting, I, I..

I swallowed my breath and went deep, I was diving, diving

I surfaced when all of my pen wasnÃ’t writing

I'm in hiding

Vitalogy was my first album purchase, ever! I will never
forget the day I picked it from the local Kmart shop-n-save,
it was so dream-shine in there and I couldn't wait to get
home to "spin the black". Those were the days! Glad to
hear they're still around, sort of_
