thought i'd share some videos with you that i grew up with...these Jean Michel-Jarre ones were very influential on my listening tastes. (i only like it up to 3:50, after that it gets shit) we have a video tape of this, recorded in 1991 when it aired on UK tv. i watched the tape so much as a kid it's very stretched. i really really hope that some day they release the Paris La Défense concert on DVD. i loved the percussionon this, and i always thought the guitarwork was "funky" when i saw this on MTV2 (when MTV2 was good) i pissed myself laughing at the chainsaw part as visually it was funny. it was the first time i'd ever really heard anyone sample something in this way. what can i say? a classic the first video that i instantly recognised as being Nine Inch Nails before i even actively listened to NIN (when MTV2 used to only show the title&track at the end of the video) this video takes me back to being a kid in primary school...i haven't seen this video in 12 years. some may find this one cheesy, but my whole family were very into the Jacksons...and my mom bought the Rhythm Nation "short film/long music video VHS of this. i always thought the production on this track was fucking awesome |
