hi.
in case u missed it:
i posted a video of a russian bodybuilder robot dancing
in the youtube thread. he dances at first to a mix of
"die roboter" by kraftwerk and towards the end it's
herbie hancock's "rock it"... but IN BETWEEN they're playing
a fuckin awesome cheesy melody i had never heard before.
if anyone knows where it comes from, i'd be really
thankful for telling me... i looped the bastard and already
listened to it today for about 9812496146 times.
you can download a sample here.

tanks.

melody ?

At the beginning of this sample I do hear some Afrika
Bambaata influences, maybe this'll help you.

oi, diabrotikos! yes, thou hast proven tasteth, now thou
shallst be my eternal fellow in searcheth for ye holy
tuneth... but beware, ye pathth is burdensome...

hm, doyshna was featured in the ae-xltronic mix, wasn't it?
sad to say i have no clue either but i'd also love to know,
tis wicked...

@thodob: tanks! i promptly started thread there also...

on electroempire meanwhile i got an answer... but it was
wrong :(
... still, the track i got suggested indeed sounds a bit
similar to the one in the video... it's called "we gonna
rock it" by "flying steps"...

haha, my man!! in fact, i was thinking of trying that, too
:)
... but good to know you're taking care of it now, i think
you're off for a good start there :) ... i still won't give
up finding the real deal, though... NEVAAAAR!
"and should this aspiring blood sink in the ground when i
thought it would've mounted... see how my sword weeps for
the poor "generic"-heretics death! oooh may such purple
tears be always shed from those that wish the abandonment of
our task! if any spark of life be yet remaining: DOWN DOWN

BREAKING NEWS:

GOT IT!
ha, it was indeed the track the guy on electroempire said it
was, i only got a wrongly labeld mp3 the first time i
downloaded it, as it seems.
the title is the same as above "flying steps - we gonna rock
it" but it's the "jetset remix"... also, what i interpreted
as hancock mixed in is in reality a sampled, inherent part
of the same tune, guess that explains the obviously
referential title...

well... yeah... case closed...

...thanks again to all involved...

howdy!
but i hope that won't keep you from finishing your remix! it
has a personal twist which makes it still relevant, i think
(i even preferred the first version for that) and i really
love the part with the bells at the end!
(hm, how are you producing it btw? maybe we could join
forces for this in search for new adventure.)
