Yes remixes are quite common in modern music with artists
often engaging in the "remixing" of another artists' work to
add their own individual slant on it.

Whats his face did all the background music for the skits on
Deltron 3030 I think + it was called a remix to keep the
grabbing hands of music publishers spoiling the fun I'd
