As cliché as it is for a forum to rift something new, I
think we have a good reason here.

The hype is not going to sell this machine if it sucks. This
isn't something like a pair of shoes or a walkman. The IPOD
only has to worry if it can play mp3s. Not a hard task.
Where as a VIDEOGAME SYSTEM has so many issues that it must
keep in mind (mainly Developers, titles, and licensing).

If the MACHINE that RUNS YOUR VIDEOGAMES sucks and isn't
fun, you can call it FREE BLOWJOBS and people won't buy into
it. Sega, the kings of hype, have proven this for every
system after the genesis. I mean, for those that are old
enough, who remembers the Ads for 32X? That system (based on
this idea of advertising) should have succeeded.

The Wii seems like it is going to do good based off the
simplistic nature of the machine, all this hype might just
be setting itself for videogame fans to destroy.

Funny how Nintendo (a Japanese company) are (most likely
inadvertently) making reference to World War 2 with the new
product.

Perhaps Sony should release the “E-Nola Gay”? That’s
tech savvy enough, and also shows that it is the right
machine for a sexually liberated 21st century.

Man what a wonderfully negative reception this has gotten. I
think I like following/reading/posting about videogames and
the whole console-war crap than actually playing them,
y'know?

Or maybe Nintendo should get Kojima. I think having eclectic
geniuses like Hideo and games like Metal Gear would be a
bigger boon than an input device, if all you're going to be
inputting conyrols for is Mario Poker, Metroid 11, and
another pushover Zelda game.

I'm mad at Nintendo, but whatever damnit you know I'm going
to be sticking with them an enjoying my Wii anyway.

Nealry finished M&L: Partners in Time. It's an absolute cool
game, have fun with it.

Looking forward to Resident Evil DS and Metroid.
