The Bridges of Madison County It starts out really really slow, but after the first two hours or so, when the action starts, oh man does it start! At first I thought "what the fuck is going on," but as I slowly got into the new pace of the movie it just got better and better! I mean, the part with the chainsaw is just fucking amazing (how did they do those special effects?!) and towards the end when Steven Seagal tries to rescue that blonde chick from the shark using a parachute.. WOW! it gets a minus one for the slow start, but still... 9/10!!! |

Brokeback Mountain. Man, this was a great western. The main characters were some real ass men. They didnt take shit from anybody. Back in those days, if you got real heated and drunk, you would pull out your pistol and shoot another dude on his back. |

The Scent of Green Papaya in the Morning This is a drama about a man who is chained to his bed with nothing to do but smell the green papayas that are dancing in circles around him. A papaya is a small creature indigenous to parts of western africa, but the green one is very very rare and they actually managed to get a hold of ten of them for this movie and teach them to dance around a man chained to a bed! If that's not awesome I don't know what is! However, the story of the movie is kind of thin... 4/13 |
