I think the track is mediocre, but have some potentional. I like the melody the "guitars" play, but the sound is kinda fake and sterile. What if you or a friend could play the tune on a guitar, and loop it? It would make the track more organic and "warm". I like the glitchy background, but why not tune up the clicks and make it more central? The main melody is terrible. It's too loud, and not very good. Not every electronic track can have a melody like Fingerbib, but this makes my ear-hairgrow like hell to protect my brain. It sounds like you just played on a keybord for fun, and then "hey, could this be the melody I'm looking for?" NO! After the "break" (at 2.30 or something), the main melody sounds better and in more harmony with the rest of the track. I like the ending with the birds. The whole thing sounds a bit like you've been inspired by Porn Sword Tobacco. 4 out of 10 points |

oh, and please don't let that one song throw you off ever checking other xlt artists songs out again... I think you'd enjoy quite a bit of what's here.. I'd also like to say that this one, even in my collection of tracks, is quite out of the ordinary. back on track: I just had to listen through some of the Kim H records again and that last tune on Hopeness is sweet as a motherfucker! I wonder what's on this 7" and what was on the previous one, btw? |
