I was just wondering if anyone knew what makes the sounds
for the main metronomes in Blue Calx and #19 (Stone in
Focus)... Not an important question, just curiosity.

Oh yeah, one other thing... For SAW2, did he use mostly
analogue equipment? I'm not that experienced in analogue vs.
digital as far as sound goes, but I know he used to use a
lot of homebrew and analogue stuff, but has been using more
digital stuff recently (such as in drukqs).

I expect that a lot of it was analogue.
I'm not sure about the metronome as during Stone In Focus,
it speeds up and slows down a lot, which a decent metronome
shouldn't do unless it's been modified to do so.

I noticed that too, which is why I was curious... Seems like
it might be something he did, although its sound is much
like the basic metronomes I've heard. Another interesting
thing on Stone in Focus, if you listen to the beginning and
then skip to the end, it's not even that much slower... even
though it feels like it's dragging... slower... and slower.

I think blue calx is an amazing track and the use of the
metronome is so simple. Could it be a reverbed rimshot
pitched down a few keys maybe.....just a wild guess , but
yeah , i like it too !! =)

I'd say it would've been pitched up.
Stone In Focus definitely drifts out of time half way
through.

there was many digital synths in 94...
there are digital synths on saw II, but i think they're
analog filtered, it sounds like that to me anyway
the metronome sounds could well be anything lol, even a
sample of two stones knockning
