Well, that's the lowest I can go for, I can't find anything
with less than 1 GHz.
I copied those specs from the back of the Ableton demo disc
BTW.

you'd better save up for a good laptop.
cheap laptops are expensive on the long run.

I know. My mum said she might give me some more money to get
a better one, so I'll probably do that now.

Wait for a Macbook (rebranded iBook) to be announced next
week. They'll be about £699, would absolutely piss on that
Dell you looking at.

Thats assuming your not a Macphobic.

LAZY_TITLE 1

Spec information is a bit scarce, but will have dual core
processors, plus you'll be able to run all your Windows apps
via Bootcamp.

I'm getting one as soon as they are available. Whoop!

mac's are over priced imo (mac phobia aside) they look cool
an all but so over priced.

The lack of easy availability of pirate software for them is
a consideration to.

Taff: I've got a similar spec Dell (technically it's my
work's machine, but it lives with me) and it rocks bells.

sweet im looking forward to mine arriving. I've also bought
a western digital 160GB my book for it and a cool
Crumpler bag. It will be the fastest computer I've
owned, seeing as my dell desktop is only a 2.2 ghz celeron D
with only 256 DDR ram.

Sorry, I don't want to go to Mac, purely as SynthEdit
doesn't work on it.
