saw a dvd last night, bunch of congolese musicians havin' a laugh. No need for po faces i say. Didn't realise they were hyped/ popular, it was a bunch of groups. not just one... tetchy as fuck some of you lot! |

Conotronics sold out man, I remember them when they were Congoacoustics, banging it out analogue style. Now they're like these Superstar DJs playing round Europe, being all lauded in the style mags. And you know what, the music's suffering. |

Oh the irony. feelin' abit tetchy now. going to listen to John Tchicai now, nobody goes on about him so he must be good. and i just googled congotronics, it wasn't the same thing i saw. konono is a group (family?), this was a dvd of dancers singers and stuff similar, but i gather from the reviews abit diverse as it was a bunch of bands |

not too big on Konono no. 1 but most of the stuff on the Congotronics II comp is pretty ace. |
