I used to, have a lvl 20 Ranger/Mesmer, a level 14
Monk/warrior, and my roomate has a lvl 20 warrior/monk on my
account. I wouldn't mind playing again, so long as I had
some cool people to play with. So yeah, we should play some
time. :)

my highest character is a level 16 elementalis/mesmer... so,
still haven't done all the missions yet, but yeah, would be
cool... :)

I've started playing this more now that the new factions
game is coming out... want to try and get to level 20 before
it comes out! :)

have had it for sometime, my characters are only low level
though (lvl 5 or 6 or so). don't get much time to play
games!

what's one of your chars name? you only need to add in the
one character to your friends list and you'll automatically
be able to see any alts.

is it 4 free?

I'll have to tip the one guy I'm living with about it 'cause
it looks awesome.. he loves mmorpgs.. I normally can't stand
them because of the fact that missions never really require
any thinking, it's just "get this from A to B"

he'll have to buy the game and/or the recent expansion, but
that's it.

no monthly fees as in WoW.

I haven't played either myself, so I can't comment on that,
though.

I should try this, I like WoW except for the money thing. I
hope it's not like WoW in that the end-game experience is
all about getting all the class set items. Double-lame-o

Guild Wars is cool because the focus is more on skill of
play rather then amount of play (ie, getting more hps then
everyone else, etc)... basically, you can level to the max
level of 20 in no time, and then the focus becomes more
player vs player, which in my opinion never really gets
boring.

I play this from time to time when I am bored of WoW. Good
game. Not much to say about it, but I have all the chapters,
the expansion, and I am probably going to get the mission
pack soon.

I disagree that it is more about skill than WoW tho. In WoW
you need to work as a group and build up strategy during
fights, where with this game its just kind of spam the same
series of moves.

It looks a fuck of a lot better than WoW though. Its
environments are really beautiful and engaging. The
designers put a lot of work in making everything look great.

GW doesn't look better than WoW imo.
and yes, WoW PvP is (tbhimho) more about skill and
coordination than GW could ever be.

it's ironic, but the best part of GW is the campaign
(imghoho).

Well, the campaign is what the game is supposed to be
about.

But your wrong about WoW looking better or the same as guild
wars. Its just WoW is ultimately a much better game, and the
graphics are more suited. But the graphics for WoW are also
low brow and cartoony by design, where GW is designed to be
beautiful.

GW will most likely look like shit 10 years, wheras WoW
won't... look as shit.

I agree you cant compare WoW to GW, only at some parts.

By that time they will both probably have sequels out tho.

Has anyone tried Rappetz? Its the only one I see being
advertised everywhere. Just wondering if its any good.

WoW has much more depth to it. Also, the pvp in GW is more
about skill simply because pretty much all armor is
generally the same, so the only thing that differentiates
players is skill. In WoW, pvp is now mostly about armor. If
you don't have pvp armor with high resilience, you won't do
much good.

true, however those who do competetive PvP-ing all have full
season 3 + full vindicator anyways, but if you're getting
into PvP, you're right.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2008-03-25 03:26 [#02187986]

well, now they are making a tournament realm that gives
everyone full epics and gold to buy trinkets and enchants,
so it will take the unballanced gear out of the equation.

I still think GW is more about who can spam what key faster,
and WoW is about combinations of moves and working as a
team.
