bikes are the way to go, so dont listen to virginpusher.
Cant you just get a new frontwheel or is the bikes frame
damaged?

Its kind of hard to ask a girl out when you tell her you can
pick her up and she can ride the pegs on the back of a
huffy.

That said.... its good exercise but (IMO) a poor choice for
main transportation.

Motorbike or push bike?

If the former, get the frame an forks checked and just buy a
new wheel.

If the latter, particularly if it's a quick release fitted
one, it'll be cheap and easy to replace and unless they're
carbon forks or v. thin competative ones, the forks will
probably be fine.

Regardless of which one it isL if it's something sporty,
there should be stock wheels available second hand
reasonably cheaply (particularly if you're not bothered
about really minor aesthetics and buy one with scratched
rims from bodged tyre changes). Racers often junk stock
wheels for magnesium or carbon ones and will sell the stock
ones effectively brand new, quite cheaply.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Vespas: The ipods of powered 2 wheeled transport. Expensive
for what they are and there are functionally superior,
cheaper alternatives. But 99% of owners buy them for the
name/styling.

Oh and even with an aftermarket can on them, they sound
homosexual.

I agree with that. With the possible exception of swimming,
going back to cycling after a hiatus is one of the worst
things for getting you knackered in a fraction of the time
it used to take you to get worn out.

Lets salvage this thread by turning it into one about
Cycling references within the world of IDM:

Boards of Canada - Happy Cycling
Boards of Canada - Happy Cycling (Version 3)
Cycling 74 (Creators of Max/MSP; the software that Autechre
used to sequence a lot of their tracks)
cLOUDDEAD - The Physics of a Bicycle
Aphex Twin - Evel Knievel

Erm, those are the only ones I can come up with at the
moment, but I'm sure there are more. Any takers?

types who rides them in shorts, t-shirts and trainers, with
no gloves and an open face helmet? :)
