how many eggs?

how many eggs do you eat a week?

i ask this because i was chatting with the mate and somehow
this became the topic. he said he ate 16 eggs a week. i
laughed, and told another mate, who said he eats 12 eggs a
week. i thought that was also ridiculous. i probably eat 2/3
eggs a week.

so, how many eggs a week do you eat?

i've recently forced myself to start eating eggs, making
omlettes with all sorts of vegetables and fetta cheese.
usually i use 2 eggs. i usually eat this 2-3 times per week.
i guess that would be between 4-6 eggs?

I eat one a fortnight, to the best of my knowledge.

does this include eggs in kake and flapjacks? or just
solo?

if we're excluding the baked goods, maybe a couple eggs a
week.

your friends are above average in egg consumption, among
other things.

If they are hardboiled and served with ketchup I can eat
eggs until I explode.

Realitstically I have maybe a half dozen a week not counting
eggs used in pancakes.

i really don't like the taste (and smell) of eggs.

they don't bother me when i don't "feel" them... so i only
eat them indirectly, in cakes or other stuff.

My mum always told me : "not more than one egg a day"
because it's not healthy, it contains too many things that
are not good when you have too much in your body. One egg a
day maximum.

alternative for the bacon as i was attempting to stay away
from pork.

actually, i'm vegetarian. haven't had bacon in close to 20
years, but i know it still tastes good.

possible substitute for bacon: pan fried smoked cheddar.
ach du lieber it's good. takes a little practice to get it
just right, tho.

Its quite hard as i like to eat things that used to live and
walk abouts (meat) :D

How long have you been vegan? Have you noticed a difference
in health once you decided to be vegan?

you must be wrong.

vp: i was vegan for a few years, but vegan's don't eat
cheese or eggs or anything aminal. i've been vegetarian
otherwise for nearly twenty years. whether or not you feel
healthier is entirely up to the individual. you can eat a
healthy vegetarian diet, and you can eat an unhealthy
vegetarian diet. i don't advocate vegetarianism for
everyone, it's a personal preference.

we could argue forever the benefits/risks associated with
eating meat. most fish is contaminated with heavy metals,
it's not healthy to eat a lot of fish. etc etc etc

but this thread is about the EGGS.

Ok, that's your choice. My choice is to eat anything I want,
meat, fish, cheese, eggs, vegetable, fruit or whatever.
Perhaps some people HAVE TO be vegetarian because of some
disease. There's nothing immoral in eating animals since
it's nature. I hope you guys would eat meat if you had no
other choice in order to stay alive.

The Wodehouse concoction?

"In a small tumbler, drop, without breaking, one yolk of
egg, two spoonfuls of Worcestershire sauce, two dashes of
Tabasco, a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper, one teaspoonful
of malt vinegar."

And I eat 0 eggs per week.

i probably eat like 2 or 3 eggs a week. eating a lot of
eggs is a good way to get a plaq in your carotid artery.
I've seen these things. it's this Y shaped piece of
material that resembles a piece of chalk and has the
consistancy of an altoid. they pull it out of the little
artery above your heart to allow the blood to flow through
again and prevent you from having a heart attack.

i don't eat them regularly.
eggs usually come in 10 stuck packages. i don't remember
buying more than one such box in one week (perhaps some
years ago).

but if there are eggs in the fridge, I can eat 4 at a time.
I remember times when I could eat much more. so, looks like
I tend to eat less eggs.

that's the situation.

indian food might be my favourite, i like it a lot : )

but actually even indian restaurants in france have like
80-90% non-vegetarian meals! it's crazy. of course you can
always get dal and a few other meals, but still, you'd
almost forget india is one of the most vegetarian countries
in the world.

the non-vegetarian restaurant which has the most vegetarian
meals i know in my university town is an italian one. (of
course i don't know every one, i only go there seldom when
i'm invited)

but seriously, even though you have a point, we're still

I made an egg curry before (Golden Egg Curry - It's
basically a mild korma with a few whole hard boiled eggs in
it that have been fried in spices before being added to the
curry). It didn't go down too well, people usually really
like my currys, but this one's reception was luke-warm at
best.

interesting about the french indian restaurants. where i
live, most indian restaurants have huge menus, and while you
can get lamb, chicken, beef, fish, whatever curry, they
almost always have at least ten or more vegetarian curries.

i'd explain why i'm vegetarian for combo, but this is a
thread about eggs (and related subjects, like jerky and
indian food). but i'm sure there's some kind of edible item
that you don't like to eat, so you can probably answer the
question yourself.
