I found some cables in my dads attic, he says its the old 5
pin din connector from a turntable he broke. It should still
work as a midi cable though right?

I'm trying to sync my drum machine with Traktor2, has anyone
else tried this by the way?

if you can make it fit, it should work... remember to set
midi clock to external on your drum machine, though...

The pins have to be connected in the right way of course :)

yeah im pretty sure the cable is okay now, and Im pretty
sure the drum machine is set to recieve external midi clock.
i cant see how to make the drum machine start playing a
pattern, in the external midi clock mode the start button
doesnt seem to do anything

if it's 5-pin DIN the configuration will be the same, no?

are you sending midi clock or midi timecode? I thought they
were just different ways of writing the same thing at first,
but it turned out I was wrong and the send midi clock button
was elsewhere (I'm talking acid, though, not traktor, and
traktor may only have midi clock, so...).

Some cables have different connections than others, meaning
that the pin1 on one side might be connected to another pin
on the other side than the normal ones are.
