seriously, listening to the new stuff is amazing, sure, but
the old stuff... it's like someone threw a bunch of old drum
machines and synths at him and he made the best of them.

he used to make melodies remember? good ones too... about
ten years ago it was. lovely they were

as great shit like hard normal daddy is, it still doesnt
hold a candle to go plastic, which i consider to be the
pinnacle of his catalogue.

it's been a while since i listened to Go Plastic... or Hard
Normal Daddy or Feed Me Weird Things. i remember Go Plastic
had kinda lost its appeal for me the last time i heard it
but i might just not have been in the mood. i listened to
Ultravisitor yesterday actually; sometimes it sounded a bit
"dry" and too much absorbed in its own stuff/self-indulgent,
but still good. i'm a bit worried about the band "reuniting"
though; might be very deceiving. i personally liked Machina
very much (my favourite after Mellon Collie, Music Is Rotted
One Note and Siamese Dream - in no particular order), but
it's been some years since then and we're not even sure
which members will be back in the band. i also think i
listened to the albums too much; when i listen to an album
too much usually i have to leave it for some time until i
fully appreciate it again... might be the case here. i also
wish the sound wasn't so fucking compressed, it's such a
shame! but anyway... yeah, old or new, good stuff. i like
Squarepumpkins very much.

Music Is Rotted One Note is my favourite pusher release. I
rarely listen to any of his other stuff any more. Every so
often I will dig out Big Loada or HND but I don't really
feel any of the post MIRON stuff.

To be fair i think the last few years he's thrown a lot of
melodies at us, just as lovely as the early ones.

i was totally shocked with the first two episodes of the
last season of southpark, because it was gross
im pretty sure they did this because conservatives were
being hip with southpark

i think tetra-syn's awesome, and the breezeblock session is
probably the best thing i've ever heard.... but it's very
hit and miss, UV and GP only raise their heads for maybe 5
outstanding tracks, truly outstanding they are too, the rest
are just silly imho

the old stuff is proper, a man making the most of his
hardware.
