Thanks for that! It's great to know more about Drexciya. I
was lucky enough to find the Lab Rat XL album on Emusic and
I'm listening to it right now.

well, there is no 'official' list, so no one is 100% sure.
when i was compiling this back when the storms were comming
out, it seemed obvious that grava 4 would be part of series
(don't remember why though). and then when i compared it to
others' lists, it matched. no one was putting l.i.f.e. into
it.

that fella from drexciyaresearchlab didn't really gave any
clear explanation why he thought 'grava 4 is the odd one
out', so...

thanks for all the info!

apart from the stor mseries, any recomendations of what
album should I get next if I have already bought?:

Harnessed The Storm
Lab Rat XL (Drexciya) : Mice or Cyborg
Transllusion (Drexciya) : L..I.F.E
Drexciya : Grava 4
DOPPLEREFFEKT, Gesamtrunstwerk, CD
ARPANET, Quantum Transposition, CD
DREXCIYA, Neptunes Lair, CD

as you can see I search for cd releases.... drexciya´s
releases seem to be hard to find

Did you checkout this Mix I posted other day.

'the quest'. definitely. to get familiar with their
Underground Resistance output (although the vinyls themself
would be much better choice, since cd doesn't strike as
powerful). the next choice would be 'elektroworld' by
elecktroids.

and if you manage to track it down, check 'antartica' by
ultradyne. they are close friends with drexciya crew and the
style is very similar. really great stuff.

I don't see lifestyles of the laptop cafe in that list.
surely you must've forgot to type it out. if not, get it
please, and perhaps add that shifted phases record too, but
if you can find the abstract thught record, you should get
that too.

ah fuck it. get everything you can find

Apart from what was already mentioned, get Japanese
Telecom's "Virtual Geisha" and Der Zyklus' "Biometry", if
you can find them.

Also, Clone has Drexciya's Harnessed the Storm CD in stock.

didnt got all the drexciyan storms so far but its a shame
"The Quest" is deleted, i got it on CD & its awesome; you
should send emails & re-Quest to Submerbe, they're launching
a net store like bleep (with no drexciyan records!?).

& why warp no not re-release Journey Home & elecktroid???!!

you can read a lot of bollocks about the storms here

take a large percentage of it with a grain of salt, the guy

interesting being of this universe

posted till august 2005... and anyway 90% of your posts were
made in this last 3 or 4 months

i was deeply stunned by one of the submissions to autechre
remix contest and noticed the author was a member on here,
so i wanted to contact him, but since you can't view the
profiles unless you're a member, i had to register. was
visiting this place only occasionally since then, until i
stumbled upon that arpanet thread. i guess it's hard for me
to stay indifferent when the topic is drexciya. and so it
started.

nice to know you too :)

probably be the other people place. a tiny bit too mellow.

If you're interested in hearing another drexciyan mix, I've
posted one here:
Der Drexciyan Effekt

Also, here's an article I wrote on possible Drexciya member
Heinrich Mueller.

Lastly, besides the Drexciya Research Lab blog, this is a
good place to keep up on any Drexciyan developments:

grava 4 is not part of the drexciya storm series.

btw, if anyone has the ultradyne cd "antartica" PLEASE give
us a proper flac rip on one of the 2 invite sites. I will

regarding the antartica cd.

what makes you say grava 4 is not one of them?

"what makes you say grava 4 is not one of them?"

It sounds really uninspired to not use a more derogatory
world, that's a good enough reason to not include it in the
storm series.

looking back, i agree, it would make a lot more sense grava
4 being out and l.i.f.e. in, than on the contrary.

space, returning home...

world=word

The two first tracks on l.i.f.e. are among my all time
Drexciya tracks, I can't stand "bump it" tho either version.
The track names make it sound like he was saying goodbye,
makes me think what he would be doing today.

also 'rolling with the punches of l.i.f.e.'

space, returning home...
following this logic, it would also make sense to have
shifted phases not part of the series.

"cosmic memoirs".

who is rupert j. rosinthrope?

tricky thing about the storms is that lab rat xl has no
track titles.
