The Rose has teeth in the mouth of the beast

must be they're into philosophy. + the fact Wittgenstein was
gay must have helped as well.

the suggestion that matmos are gay is not helping much in
appreciating their music

or is this track an exception?

the actual text where it comes from

"The Earth has existed for millions of years" makes clearer
sense than "The Earth has existed in thelast five minutes".
For I should ask anyone who asserted the latter: "What
observations does this proposition refer to; and what
observations would count against it?" — whereas I know
what ideas and observations the former proposition goes
with.
"A new-born child has no teeth." — "A goose has no teeth."
— "A rose has no teeth." — This last at any rate — one
would like to say — is obviously true! It is even surer
than that a goose has none. — And yet it is none so clear.
For where should a rose's teeth have been? The goose has
none in its jaw. And neither, of course, has it any in its
wings; but no one means that when he says it has no teeth.
— Why, suppose one were to say: the cow chews its food and
then dungs the rose with it, so the rose has teeth in the
mouth of a beast. This would not be absurd, because one has
no notion in advance where to look for teeth in a rose.
Ludwig Wittgenstein Philosophical Investigationspp.221-222"

i am looking forward to the new matmos, i find the
teeth/beast phrasing interesting because sometimes i get
really into little phrases i come up with, and i did not
know of this one at all when i made this up:

"the fast gnashing of beast's teeth"

another one i had written on the same page

"a quick lick of thin lips"

i dont know what the mouth thing is that i had going on

the suggestion that matmos are gay is not helping much in
appreciating their music

Then I guess you shouldn't listen to a viable alternative to
sexual contact, seeing as its chopped up gay porn samples.

I picked up a discarded promo of this at our campus radio
station (because naturally none of the DJs would dare play
electronica...) and listened to a few tracks.. pretty good
stuff!

Never heard much Matmos before because I'm not as big fan of
bands that place too much emphasis on sampling, but this
wasn't bad at all.
