I only use winamp > cooledit > fruityloops > cooledit combo
to make tracks.

Ive got some other stuff like osundforge , audio mulch ,
and reaktor but ive never used them . Id like to figure out
wha audio mulch can do one day. I cant get reaktor to do
shit. Soundforge is like a crummy cooledit IMO.

fruityloops can be useful but you have to put alot of work
into it. stay away from the internal sounds completely. i
mostly make my drum tracks in fruityloops or rhythmic noise
patterns and then drop my loops into cool edit to eq and
reverberate. then drop it into orion for loop arrangement.

i never found reason very useful. no vst or direct x
compatability.

get cool edit pro and youve got quality sound editing right
there. no one can debate that. i know a guy that puts out
pro tracks and gets paid big bucks using only hammer
tracker(horrrrible tracker) and cool edit.
