i've just watched 20 odd minutes of a cabaret voltaire DVD in my electronic music lecture (this DVD, i think). it was pretty damn amazing, and i want to get some cabaret voltaire releases but i've no idea where to start [plus i've got half an hour to waste till my next seminar, so why not spend that time on zilty?], so does anyone have any recommendations?
cheers!

depends on your taste, since they released a lot of records in different styles.
the only album i own is "microphonies," which is different from what's already been recommended here, it's more pop/dance and downtempo/cool atmospherics. in a nutshell.

I really love "The Crackdown" a great album. Interesting how they went from noisy industrial guitar stuff to dance electronics, big influence on some of the early Detroit Techno fellas like Derrick May, interestingly enough.
Check it out, dudes. Brainwashed.com profile
