the vangelis tune is Heaven and Hell pt1 on the The Sound of Cosmos OST, but looking at the back of the record it says it's originally from Heaven And Hell.
I haven't heard that album, only the soundtrack

cosmos was a big programme in the early eighties, it had carl sagan floating about in a sort of space ship with a sun roof at the bottom of it to look at the universe
