92 volvo.

Every decade or so I invest in a 12 year old volvo. Great
cars for really cheap. Also: I hate cars.

No car at the moment (boy racer crashed into my 106 whilst
it was parked outside my house, writing it off). Looks like
a toss up between a company car Astra 1.7 TDI and buying
something myself that ticks the "fun, fast, affordable and
practical" boxes that I demand of my vehicles.

Currently using my bike (a pretty sorted Suzuki SV650s) as
my sole transport. Bit annoying for short trips as the time
spent getting kitted up negates any time saved on the
journey and riding in icey conditions is hell. Needless to
say, in good conditions on the right roads it is probably
the most fun I have ever had.

Hanal: I've been considering a second hand Fabia VRS. I take
it your experience of their reliability is in line with the
generally bomb-proof reputation of them?

Yes. Old beetle, painted in two colors - lower half of the
doors in white and the rest in navy blue, like cars from the
30s. But it's a loud car and I think we're going to sell it
before the rust claims its prey.
