this was quite well done, you deffinately know what youre
doing in terms of composition and sound design.

my only quip is that its a tad vanilla. it sounds like it
could have made by anyone on here, an unfortunate quality
alot of music lately posseses.

You can thank easy access to professional sounding software
for that one. Nowadays, to let people know your serious, its
almost like you need to underproduce it.

offline victorash from Bucharest (Romania) on 2006-02-25 23:26 [#01848991]
Points: 254 Status: Lurker

hmmmm, what is that??? I need to underproduce it??? And
trust me, you can try to make any of the sounds from this
song with software, i'll sit here and laugh ;) except a part
from drums... I don't think music can be made by anyone on
here, I listened a lot of music from here, and found some
few good artists and a lot of crap. I think it's too much
music, too much crap that actually keeps you far from the
real path. I think you should judje it only in terms of "I
like it" or "I don't like it", it's as simple as that.

Don't take it personally, dude. I was responding to
hedphukkerr's comment. I haven't listened to you music, I
was simply making a statement on the state of electronic
music nowadays. Albeit, I should have found a better thread
to make it in. And now, I will listen to your tracks. They
better be good, because I don't normally listen to spam.

I like this quite a bit. Do I hear an evolver in there?

This reminds me of while. Definately a keeper. Have anything
else?

I'm glad you took time and listened...thanx for that. I
don't have an Evolver, i'm planning to get one soon. You can
see almost all my gear here the site is not
updated from quite a long time, i have plenty of news to put
in, but you get the picture.

offline cataLYST from Waldorf (United States) on 2006-02-26 00:37 [#01848996]

its too bad my music isnt crap or else id fit into that
category.. yea a bit modest am i? lol this sounds good
though.. very progressive and well thought out.. good
transitions.. but i think we should all give xlter's a fair
share of their music justice and not say its mostly crap
cause usually its just their interpretation.. but good stuff
man keep it up.. ;)

offline victorash from Bucharest (Romania) on 2006-02-26 00:48 [#01848997]
Points: 254 Status: Lurker

i'm not modest at all... :)) You'll see what I mean when
you're working a lot to keep quality in your music and
someone comes and makes your music, not bad, worse...like
anyone's elses music. Yeah, I listened to a lot of
crap...but I never said that public until now. Anyone knows
that, why should we fear to say that's a lot of crap
around??? There are a few good artists too...

I really can't say anything bad about this song. It has this
one background synth that I really love whenever I hear it.

though it sounds great and all....it has no soul imo, i
don't really like it. it's just sounds and effects put
together, couldn't make listen more than once. sorry.

damn i really didnt mean to deter people from listening

as i said, you know what youre doing musically. feedback is
the most important thing for progressing and making your
music.

its quite a good tune, but as i said before, i'd love to
hear some of YOU in it. its just lacking a certain
personality.

im drunk. please listen to my msuci, and all others.
epsecially since im saying 'listen to my music' in someone
else's thread. im an assghole.

"but as i said before, i'd love to
hear some of YOU in it"

Hey, where did you said that? You're the same person with
Obara????? Btw, it's me in it :)

If you don't find me in it, please search here

:D

I liked it, I think what it really needs is a good ending.
Also maybe turn down the snare a bit.

Not to be a bitch, I liked the track, but I enjoy a good
discussion.

offline victorash from Bucharest (Romania) on 2006-02-26 07:21 [#01849177]
Points: 254 Status: Lurker

Yes, it needs a better ending...However I like the snare
just the way it is...

To Impakt: As I said, please feel free to duplicate any of
the sounds except the drums, with any software you like, and
post it here. I'll be glad, trust me. I want to get rid of
tons of hardware to keep my setup simple. If you manage to
do it, I'll sell all my gear. Remember!!!! It has to be the
exact sound, not "like" that one. Because i'm looking to use
the exact missing frequencies from a software emulation.
I've been here a hundred times before, one time more it
doesn't count :)

The sounds are not sophisticated at all, basic waveforms
through filter, it should be easy to reproduce, if that
helps

this is a pretty cool song... reminds us I think that a
simple waveform+filter is all you need sometimes. :)

I like the off-time rhythm in the drums too, what time
signiature is that? it's fun to listen to whatever it is. :)

thank you!

"what time signiature is that?" You'll laugh, but this is
4/4, clasic hip-hop type of beat, surely more advanced, but
if you take out the retrigs you'll find a clasic beat

"i could've sworn it was skipping

well, actually it skips some beats, but this doesn't mean it
changed the signature. It's still 4/4

interesting... time signiatures/rhythms are what I
understand the least about making music. i've always
wondered how people can listen to a song with a crazy rhythm
and be able to count out the time signiature. :)
