Traktor version 3

My friend asked me round last night to help him with
Traktor. He's just got version 3 and had no idea how to use
it etc!
Being a Traktor 2.6 long time user I thought I'd show him
the ropes.
But I was stumped. Anyone using version 3 on here? Where's
the beat grid? I tried to for about 10minutes but gave up!

I think what you need to do is this; You need to open up
your computer, cut all the resistors off your audiocards,
while audio is going through it, then format your c: drive
and replace it with windows 95. After doing that, take a
pancake, smother it in syrup, and put it in your cd-rom
drive.

That should solve all your problems.

Honestly, I don't know, but I think NI is targetting their
traktor program towards people that use final scratch.

beat grid should be up there.

you'll have to fook around with the page layouts, hot keys
and preferences for a while but its worth it for sure. its
awsome and the beat reperter is immense.

and analyse all your tracks.

I found moving from 2.5 to 2.6 was really confusing, I
haven't even seen 3 in action yet but I'm sure its worth the
effort. How does the x fader work with four decks by the
way?

had to re-learn Traktor when I got it. a tad confusing at
first, but after a few sessions I learned enough. there are
a few stupid solutions though, and I do go back to 2.6 every
now and then. bump this when Phresch is online. he knows his
way around it

Found the beat grid, but bloody hell; took ages! I'm not
convinced yet, I need to send more time with it I guess.
I'll be staying with 2.6 for now.
