i just realized something

i would have been more upset / let down / etc about the
newest BOC album if i had like more than 3 tracks on
geogaddi AND if alias & ehren's "lillian" hadnt come out
last year

it satisfied that downtempo longing...wicked...

Hating is a strong word. TCH is... a bit dull. I'm more
annoyed with the fanbois who are treating it as the Third
Coming of Christ.

yeah, i think of it more in terms of being dull as well.
geogaddi was nothing spectacular either, had couple of nice
tunes, but mhtrtc was pretty great.

i like them - but in spots

pablo honey is dumb
the bends has 3 good songs but are VERY pussy
ok computer has like 5 good songs
kid a has like 4
amnesiac has about 4 / 5
hail to the thief about 9

im a fair-weather radiohead fan - yeah, i know they're a
hipster band, i know why i should hate them, but every now
and again they just made really solid songs that i enjoy !

its not their best work, it sounds similar to the rest, but
maybe thats the point. i think that dull is a pretty strong
word. theres still loads of textures and lovely sounds to
listen to. if you ever got an electronic river, this is what
it would sound like, (maybe a silly thing to say)

i agree, bland or boring

there is no reason to listen to it more than once...

i had one listen and wont ever go back...

negative thread titles/threads make baby marco cry - and
have been to many lately i think.

why say "i hate this and that" when you can say "i like this
or that, yay "

STOP NEGATIVITY

My favourite boards of canada stuff is on the EPS and less
common stuff - hi scores, beautiful place, twoism etc. I
dont like their main Warp albums so much (still OK though)

TCH was a major disappointment i thought considering the
amount of time between that release and geogaddi youd think
theyd evolve a tad more perhaps? TCH to me sounds like
out-takes from geogaddi [which was a great listening
experience] and the thread titles fine cause "frustrating
boards of canada would sound strange ]mister grinch[

woah, outtakes from geogaddi? u sure you got the right
album?

personally, tch is about as far from geo as you can get,
within the boc-realm.

yes i have the right one it has that same mood to me and it
doesnt really sound all that different to me perhaps

all and i love the boards ill give it another good solid
listen without distraction but [it burnnnnnnnssss]

i think the bros. described it best themselves: if geogaddi
is a bad trip, then tch is the good trip.

i think the beats are what ruins it above all... bland ,
quite soft , just wimpy quaint breaks...... the comparison
between tch and mhtrtc is too much , i cant understand how
one could produce a work of genius and 10ish years later put
out garbage like tch..... its like horrible hippy "chill"
crap. further the guitars add nothing whatsoever , just the
sort of shit a guitar tech would play when soundchecking, to
quote the wire i believe. ughhhhhhhhh to think i ordered it
on vinyl.....last time i ever pre-order any boc.

its not a weird thing to hate stuff a massive amount of
people actually like.

i think autechre is annoying most of the time, though Draft
wasn't that bad really, and i loved Gantz Graf
