Of the Roland TB-303 variety?

I can't get enough myself, but what about you people?

I think I need to clarify. I'm talking about the little grey
box made by Roland which makes a strange squelchy noise.

You can't overrate the tb303. Its been clinically proven by
experts in a lab. A science lab.

The tb303 is overpriced tho. $1000 for $20 worth of
resistors? Maybe someone else who has time to fritter away,
but not me.

i once told that to someone who wanted to sell his tb303 for
like twice to three times the price it's worth (at around
900 euro's), but he called me a respectless fucker.

So i guess respect is pricey?

What do you think about the clones of the TB-303 what
spawned in the 90's?

I have a Syntecno teebee, which emulates it very well.

The TB-303 is probably the most amazing sound I've ever
heard! I've always loved it since back in the day. Yeah!
You seen this:
www.d16.pl/index_content.php?sectid=70&menuid=0 - looks
sweeet as. Pity it sounds like ReBirth. It's no
AudioRealism Bassline. I downloaded it anyway though, just
to show people and go "look at this!". Sausage.

all rolands are way overpriced! i nearly bought a

I am probly going to be getting a MAM MB33 Mk 2 or novation
bass station next month. I guess you could say I think very
highly of them.

Have you used an MC-09? Tell me about it

and Ezkrldn - You shouldnt have trouble getting an MC 505
for under £250

Points: 9958 Status: Lurker | Followup to Dannn_: #01845486

No, I haven't used one.

Honestly, I am kind of skeptical. I would rather have a
simple rack box with transistors and capacitors, not a
processor with wavforms.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2006-02-20 12:30 [#01845514]
Points: 7877 Status: Lurker | Followup to Taxidermist: #01845491

Well I don't know exactly what them there transistors and
capacitors do but I get your point. If the prices are good
like they seem to be, and the mc09 does half of what they
claim, it could be a fun thing to have

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2006-02-20 12:36 [#01845515]
Points: 9958 Status: Lurker | Followup to Dannn_: #01845514

Perhaps. But if you are looking for something to emulate the
tb303 sound, then you might want to look into a mam MB33. It
goes for about $200, and its a true analogue synthesizer
(transistors and capacitors (tb stands for transistor bass))

Oh aye I know that much, I'm just not really a
synth-workings knower type person. Lots of 303 clones seem
hard to get hold of, more so than a real one (at a huge
price).

Like the futureretro 777? Yeah. But if you are looking for
something a little less pricey, Ebay regularly has bass
stations for under $300

it's a bit weird that many people that don't have a 303 try
to sound like the 303 and people who actually have the 303
want their 303 to sound different by adding lots of FX
and/or modify it

I borrowed my uncle's 106 for a while. I made a few lovely
Amber-esque strings and pads on it, I keep pestering him to
sell it, but no dice yet
