The looperlative looks pretty great, but 1500 is a bit much for a looper. Gives you 8 stereo channels to play with, you can sync them together, and quickly reverse different channels and send them through aux channels quickly, shit like that.
The electrix repeater is the current king. It gives you four channels, and a sequencer to arrange your loops.
Another ok choice is the Line6 DL4. It gives you one loop, with unlimited overdubbing capability.

Well most of those are rack modules, and I was thinking of something more like this.

The DL4 I mentioned is a stompbox style delay pedal, with a decent looping option. There is also the boss rc-50, and the digitech jamman (both are new. I don't know if they have been released yet).
