This forum is supposed to be about music discussion, but is
it really possible to have a constructive discussion about
such a completely subjective topic?

Most music discussion is like:
A: "This artist / album / track is the best ever"
B: "Oh yeah? I prefer another artist / album / track"
or:
B: "Yeah, I totally agree with you, man"

it's all about how much you are exposed to and if you find
any interesting bits in it.

Simple 4/4 dance music, with the same old drum pattern is
fine to people who have yet to listen to other different,
more complex forms.

You could take that from the position most of our board
members are in and think we are superior.. but it's all
about what you find most enjoyable..

I have to admit though, listening to aphex twin and the
likes, is a very intense experience.. and i've noticed that
it does slowtime down, and i know what you're thinking "he's
insane, i'm not reading anymore" BUT, i've proved it to
myself..

I used to have frequent bus travels, i'd get damn bored if i
didn't have my nifty mp3 player, but whilst listening to
fast music such as aphex twins, drukqs and so on, it really
made the jorny longer. Haha.. but then again, it really took
my mind off what was happening outside..

I'm not sure where this is actually going, my little say
that is, but i do feel there's a lot of immatators who have
yet to master "IDM", just like in any other trend e.g. "emo"
where many people buy a guitar to replicate such music..

but oh well!.. what ya gonna do.

do you understand why that was a really moronic statement?
