did anyone get this then??

i recorded the whole thing on my PC... it was the first
time i was hearing any of the rephlex stuff, and i have to
admit i wasnt TOO impressed. Nothing matched the complexity
or power of aphex's stuff i felt. 95% of it had some of the
'dont take this track seriously' Aphex/Squarepusher humour.

But it did have some wicked tracks on there, and i need the
names of them!!!

like the second track they played, after mood bells.....

and a 10min string track in the middle of the set....
gorgeous!!!

Yeah, I listened to it and recorded it onto *cough* tape. I
did enjoy it but thought some of it sounded...cheesy. I've
nothing against that, but as you say, nothing like the
complecity of some of aphex's stuff. However, some tracks
were abolsutely wicked, ESPECIALLY the cyclob track 'cut the
midrange drop the bass', it was just so catchy! Basically a
lot of good well thought out 'pop' IMHO, if some of those
got airplay major they'd top the chart no problem.

I've been listening to it today cos I fell asleep (I was
tired ok!) after 1hr30 and anyway, the tape stopped then and
couldn't go get another cos it'd wake everyone up.

I'd LOVE a full copy of it, did you record it in wav? Is
there a possibility of a copy? =)

BTW, after that i'm going to buy cyclobs album!

I missed the beginning...wtf were those voices?

Ben

ill try to sort something out.... i only got it in mono
though.... i know some people did it digitally in stereo,
better off asking them i think...

but yes it was cheesy. i still need the bloody
tracklisting!!!! Radio1 usually do one, just have to wait
for it.....

and those 'voices' were RDJ and maddog wallace beign
interviewd: female voice asks questons, thy reply in stupid
alien language and voice.

typical AFX humour!

trying to sort out a track listing at the moment...

Theres a little info at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/one_world/rephlex.shtml ...

e me of anyone wants a hiqual MP3...(I did have all as a
huge WAV but my encoding software is set to delete it after
converting so this MP3 is all I have :(...luckily I used a
--r3mix preset so quality is pretty close to as good as it
gets with MP3)...

Still trying to work out which track is Astrobotnia, the nu
Rephlex signing...anyone?...
