It fluctuates. There are probobly songs I've listened to over 1000 times on my mp3 player. Mostly powerful tracks off anime osts, or music I'm working on so I can study what parts need more work.

It must have been something off a Black Sabbath or Metallica album, something I'd put on a lot back when I had more limited tastes. I used to never go anywhere without Master of Puppets. I even listened to it in a sewing class once.

not only that, but it gets rid of the need for stupid threads like this.
if there's no need for statistics on your most-listened music, then why is there any need for this thread? would you care to explain that, sadist?

Your post made me listen to "Winter in a belly of a snake" again. It's really good; deep, and dark, no bullshit attitudes. Glad I managed to d/l this while my p2p's were still working smoothly. I wonder if it's (still) considered as his best work (well, apart from Rossz, it's a different "category")...

yeah Only Time Will Tell is epic but I just love the buildup to it in Oceania, it's so serene and ethereal - very like some of Amethystium's latest material. The person who first introduced me to the album played Oceania to me first and told me that it was the worst track on the album; I think that strengthened my like for it because I vehemently disagreed.
that person was CS2x..

uuu stairs song and tattoo... ***shivers***
yer know - imho rozsz... is a very good electronic album. but considering vs's discography that album sucks cock. winter in the belly is surely the most "mature" of vs albums, with huge chrome cylinder on the second place.
his best work? that's a though one. because my favourite is meathole which, on the other hand, is rather a eak snares album.

Good topic Sadist. But you can't say that site isn't useful though. Like penexpers just said, it's very good to get recommendations based on what you have already listened to. But well, I'm too lazy to keep it updated so I'm not going to make an account over there, also because honestly I've got already many things on the internet to keep updated. I used to love songs who people listened many times to them.
About redrum, I'm pretty agree with you on the fact he's able to always find something offensive in any post but we all know him and that's his character, I'd recommend that if you don't want to create chaos into threads, better thing to do would be ignoring him.
Returning on topic, the songs I listened most often are: indigo optimos by Chris Clark, Amine by Arovane, Arched Maid by RDJ; Meinheld by Mike Paradinas, Freak by LFO, Cern by Monolake, Pen Expers by Autechre, Do you know Squarepusher. This is what came in my mind so far.

Cool Johnski from the Freeze Force Crew I came here to say a def rhyme for you About the Boogie Down Bronx, it's a one of a kind It's the place to be; it's a state of mind But the guys out here, they really are crookin' They snatch gold chains when the cops ain't lookin' But what can I say? One young man born to be an MC The only one that rocks ya with a guarantee Because I dress to impress, guaranteed to be a hit I walk down the street, the girls are jumpin' on it I got the ladies on my left, the beats on my right The ladies follow me all through the night 'Cause I'm the one with the action, the king of satisfaction
You listen to my rhythm, there is a chain reaction It goes on your back, it goes down your spine And when it hits your head, it's gonna blow your mind And if you're from the Bronx and you hear the sound Come on, everybody, boogie down, boogie down
Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Boogie Boogie Down Bronx, Boogie Boogie, Boogie Boogie

Last.fm wails. According to mine, I've been all about Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark- ''Souvenir'', Valentin Silvestrov- ''Requiem for Larissa- Largo'' and ''Last Love'', and Moon- ''Lebanon'' for the last year. The stats don't lie I guess, though there are some other songs I listen to a ton that get shafted because they're not tagged properly, I think Olivia Tremor Control- ''A Peculiar Noise Called Train Director'' should be up there.

Haha, you should ask me in that instance. Start with the great, long instrumentals: Tubular Bells, Ommadawn, Hergest Ridge, Incantations, then you could move to his pop stuff from the 80' (Crises, Discovery), and be sure to check Amarok from 1990, an 60-minute masterpiece. As for a singular songs, get "Far above the clouds" (TB III), "Sentinel" (TB II), "Cochise" (Guitars), "Let there be light", and maybe his best vocal-pop song - "Crime of passion" for an instant effect :-).
