horrid. i was going to say "well at least they don't know
what they're missing out on", but with all the fuss about
music, the fact that it plays a role of varying degrees in
pretty much everyone's life, they probably do..

interesting though.

"all music sounds alike". Well, if you're listening to
commercial dance that's not too far from the truth.

It would help their study if they didn't use an awful
softsyth piano sound and the compositions of a retard that
sound dissonant and hence "wrong" even when they're both the
same.

yea what a shit study, they should let you click to play the
second tune so you can sing the one again for yourself to
remember, or rather have melodies of two tones

I know. It seems like some "scientist" who actually has very
little appreciation for music themselves has devised this
test.

No doubt they'll cite the results of this shoddy experiment
as gospel in the throwaway columns of a tabloid. I can see
it now; This sap's 3 year PHD reduced to, "Can you Hear
me?Tests at the University of Newcastle have shown as many
as 1 in 10 people is entirely tone deaf and has no
appreciation for, or ability to differentiate, pitch. Tone
deafness is slowly but surely being (rightly) recognised as
a disability."

yeah, true, but still, the mistakes/differences are
glaringly obvious.. if you listen to the first and then sing
it back in your head as the second plays, you'll catch them
very easily.

like i said, i watched Sex Sense in the meantime, and even
by not singing the tune in the back of my head made me
discover the mistakes !

although, two parts of Sex Sense were just utterly grabbing
my attention..
