Get Sonic Rush.

When I first started playing it on my friend's I was very
"meh" about it, even when I bought it.

By the second level it was like I rediscovered crack after
smoking a lot of crack and being addicted, quit, and forget
that crack existed.

have you played the original for gamecube? make sure you
know what you're getting into. it's a really twee little
life simulator that can be a lot of fun if you're a really
creative person. basically what you do is live in a cute
little town filled with animals and you . . . well, you just
live in the town and do what you want. if you have the
devotion then you can make your town really unique with
tilesets and the like. i'm not really saying much about the
game at all, am i? haha. it's not a game at all, really. but
it's addicting.

someone made their town into a water town through tilesets:
here. if doing stuff like that is fun to you then
this is your (non)game.

i think this guy's town is pretty cool: here

i made my dude a smiths shirt and an optimus prime shirt. i
played the first game so i knew what to do to upgrade my
house in the two days i've owned this one. yesterday i spent
five hours in a row playing it, but that left less for me to
do today. the game goes in real time so when it's 4am where
you are, it's 4am in the game. like i say, a twee little
life simulator. the most fun is showing off your town to
other players.

you can go fishing, find stuff for the museum, do things for
the townspeople, write them letters, stuff like that.
stuff that you'd get made fun of for if you tell the
wrong people
.

i think the one thing that sells this game for me is the
atmosphere. it's immersive and comfortable.

then the best advice i can give you is to stick with it even
if you don't like it at first. even if it takes like two
weeks for it to 'click'.

Right, it arrived yesterday. Been fishing all day, caught me
two string fish! Are they the most valuable fish available?

i'm not sure about rarest, but they are indeed rare. count
yourself lucky to get two in a day, let alone in a week (at
least in my experience).

i just bought it today and had pretty much the same
experience as you. once you get used to the trick system
it's like an awesome mix between sonic 2 and jet set radio
future. i have to say it fills in the void of good sonic
games since the genesis days and works as a kind of
spiritual spin-off of jet set. awesome stuff.

rawesome to the extreme: the levels, gameplay and music.

should've been left out: the bosses, special stages, astro
boy style enemy rooms, speech samples.

at least the bosses become merely optional once you beat
them. i can play my favourite levels over and over again
without worrying about coming across one.

i just ordere the ds lite, not sure what game to get for it
though... i've narrowed it down to Advance Wars Dual Strike,
Animal Crossing and Mario Kart, can only afford one game at
the mo

i wouldn't recommend animal crossing, certainly not as your
only game. i haven't played advance wars but i've heard good
things, i'm sure it's great. mario kart is brilliant, safe
option
