I konw ya'll will hate me, but I really have always loved
The Box. Speaking of which, has anyone hear heard the
single version with the 4 different versions of the box on
it?

Out there somewhere. An epic.

I'm fond of the girl w/ the sun in her head as well.

The Box was good but i heard it too many times. If you can
find the extended version of it on the internet, i highly
recommend it.

Out there somewhere and Dwr Budr are my favourites. I was
really really disappointed with "In the middle of
nowhere"....

YES i came across this old md with In Sides on it and i've
been listening to it this morning on my bike, and i loved
it.
Adnan's is wicked indeed, as is Dwr Budr and a lot more..
decided to get this one on cd after all

Dwr Budr is the best , beautiful sampling, you can learn how
to create good song from this

offline Skink from A cesspool in eden on 2004-01-20 09:39 [#01041692]

Hmmm... tough question i think the girl with the sun in her
head is my favorite track from in sdes and it's also in the
list of my favorite ever tunes!

Dwr budr is also amazing.

offline Paco from Gothenburg (Sweden) on 2004-01-20 09:40 [#01041693]
Points: 2659 Status: Lurker

Dwr Budr is my fave. The sounds on this album are in a
league of their own. Listen to the intro to Dwr Budr or the
panning sound when Box pt2 starts. Totally incredible. There
are so many more, Out There Somewhere and Adnan has quite a
few killer sounds. My bet is, it's that Obie Xpander doing
its magic!

I liked 'Forever' off of Snivilization, but it was a
dissapointment. Then they go and totally redeem themselves
with this superb CD. Too bad they're back in the abyss of
boredom. Though I have to admit I haven't heard that movie
soundtrack they made.

Anyone?

offline purlieu from Leeds (United Kingdom) on 2004-01-20 10:57 [#01041831]

Dwr Budr is stunning, indeed. The Box EP was the first CD I
eve bought, and I still love it. It's so dark and surreal.
Somewhere inbetween baroque-era classical and breakbeat.
Genius stuff.

Bah, i loved snivilization. Anyway, the event horizon
soundtrack is just ok, it's mostly michael kamen's
orchestral work with some hard-ish orbital beats at the end
of tracks.

Fave in sides tracks: TGWTSIHH, Dwr Budr, Out There
Somewhere.

The girl with the sun in her head is one of my favourite
tracks ever written, the crazy synth towards the end with
much vibrato makes me bounce around the room.

Definitly Orbital's best album followed by Snivelisation and
Orbital 1.

I remember liking the "Box 1" the best.

dwr bwdr always sounds odd when listening to the album as it
predates the other tracks by about 18 months

i love those other weird tracks on the box single - tracks 2
& 3

My favorite album of all time. There is nothing wrong with
this album at all IMO, absolutely flawless...was actually
listening to it on my way to and fro' school.

The Girl With The Sun In Her Head and Out There
Somewhere Part 2
are my favorite songs ever produced.
Both long pieces of music and they never get boring once.
And yes, that crazy synth work at the end of "The Girl With
The Sun In Her Head" is too good. Haha, ok you get the
picture....best.album.ever.

I agree, In Sides is the perfect album. nothing else i have
heard even comes close to how well this album flows
together. i can't even choose a favorite song because they
are all so good. i dislike a lot of other songs on other
orbital albums but this one is amazing the whole way
through.

Oh man don't get me started on snivilisation becuse that's
the album that me really want to make electronica that album
will always have a special palce in my heart. I think that
the first album to insides as being pretty much flawless as
far as i'm concerned.

imo.

or wait, nevermind —
are "electro" and "electronic music" different genres? ' _'

(i always thought one was short for the other... also
"electronica" being just another word for the same music as
well...)
