I love all the rare tracks they stuck on the RYKO reissues
of the albums, specially Low, "Heroes" and Lodger. Tracks
like the almighty

Crystal Japan
Some Are
All Saints
Abdulmajid
I pray, olé

I think the ending of "Crystal Japan" may be the most
awesome piece of music in my life. There, I've said it!

'Some are' is fantastic, why it was put aside that way is
beyond me.

All I know about Bowie is that, according to Gervais, he
listens to the podcast and enjoys Pilkingtons 'kooky outlook
on life'.

*Ascends on a glittery cloud, heralded by a troupe of
cherubic Off-License owners singing "The Gospel according to
Tony Day"*

The Gospel according to Tony Day
The Gospel according to Tony Day
The Gospel according to Tony Day
If I find a girl he'll take her away
Rotten Tony!

The Gospel according to Brendan O'Lear
The Gospel according to Brendan O'Lear
The Gospel according to Brendan O'Lear
If I buy him a Scotch, he'll buy me a beer
Tight fist, friends

The Gospel according to Pat Hewitt
The Gospel according to Pat Hewitt
The Gospel according to Pat Hewitt
If it's written on a sweater then I'd better not do it

Ah
Got to, got to
Your mind, blow it
Blow it

The Gospel according to Marianne Brent
The Gospel according to Marianne Brent
The Gospel according to Marianne Brent
She'll be mine if I pay the rent
Good old Marianne, who needs friends, oh

Waste of flipping time, take a look at my life and you'll
see
Take a good butchers, rotten Harry down the hall,
Wouldn't give you tuppence for him.

Dont be so forlorn
Its just the payoff
Its the rain before the storm
On a better day
Ill take you by the hand
And lead you thru the doors

Dont you let my letter
Get you down

My my, but time do fly
When its in another pair of pants
And illusion I will be
For Ive never been a sinner
La-de-dah

I've nothing much to offer
There's nothing much to take
I'm an absolute beginner
And I'm absolutely sane
As long as we're together
The rest can go to hell
I absolutely love you
But we're absolute beginners
With eyes completely open
But nervous all the same

If our love song
Could fly over mountains
Could laugh at the ocean
Just like the films
There's no reason
To feel all the hard times
To lay down the hard lines
It's absolutely true

oh dear. i've just rediscovered this track. excellent.

Time - hes waiting in the wings
He speaks of senseless things
His script is you and me, boy

Time - he flexes like a who
Falls wanking to the floor
His trick is you and me, boy

Time - in quaaludes and red wine
Demanding billy dolls
And other friends of mine
Take your time

The sniper in the brain, regurgitating drain
Incestuous and vain, and many other last names
I look at my watch it say 9:25 and I think oh God Im still
alive

We should be on by now
We should be on by now

Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai

You - are not a victim
You - just scream with boredom
You - are not evicting time

Chimes - goddamn, youre looking old
Youll freeze and catch a cold
cause youve left your coat behind
Take your time
Breaking up is hard, but keeping dark is hateful
I had so many dreams, I had so many breakthroughs
But you, my love, were kind, but love has left you
dreamless
The door to dreams was closed. your park was real dreamless
Perhaps youre smiling now, smiling through this darkness
But all I had to give was the guilt for dreaming

We should be on by now
We should be on by now
We should be on by now
We should be on by now
We should be on by now

Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
Lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai, lai
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la

Yes time

i downloaded a huge torrent of bowie stuff, yeah, and the
second track on "Lodger".... it isn't African Night
Flight... oh no..

instead it's "I want it that way" by the backstreet boys.

this seems like exactly the kind of rotten trick dan would
play, to burn scabs like myself for not buying the material

Ha! I wouldn't do anything quite so... hypocritical, but um,
yeah that's a shame as "African Night Flight" is quite a
startling Bowie track. Not my favourite by any means, but..
yeah.... God I've lost all my critical faculties.

I downloaded Draft a while before I bought it, and my
favourite track on there turned out to be a Susumu Yokota
track.
