That guy is a bit of a twat - its irresponsible hysteric
preaching like that that got psychedelics banned in the
first place.

works for me. should take you to amazon. here's another
one:
cosmic serpent

what are you reading?

i've just finished the first book by carlos castaneda and
now i'm reading 'the psychedelic experience' by Leary,
Alpert and Metzner.

Doors of Perception by aldous huxley is also fantastic.

Oops yea sorry. Got it now.

I have just read a seminar by Aldous Huxley and he sounds
like he has the knowledge. I am very interested in reading
that book.

I am not familiar with Castaneda but know the others - I
have just finished a book compiled by Metzner about
Ayahuasca, which is the substance that really got me
interested in the whole psychadelic phenomenon - haven't
used it yet though, and I'm not going to until I'm ready.

That book looks really interesting, I am totally into the
shamanic use of plants as medicine etc.

The book I'm reading at the moment is this LAZY_TITLE

Its fascinating, moreso than the Metzner one - its a
collection of essays etc by the big names, and focuses
generally on the theraputic potential of psychedelics in
psychotherapy, psychiatry, etc, which is the core of what
I'm interested in. Its very inspiring as the general
implication is that research into their potential is
starting to explode on a huge scale after decades of no
research. In fact there was a page 2 article in the Guardian
last week about something being presented at the major
psychiatric conference in the UK urging projects and
research to be kick started. Its very exciting to me :D

Do you have any experience with these drugs? I am pretty
much a novice.

I've found that article - as I say it took up about the
whole of page two in the Guardian.

LAZY_TITLE

I am also trying to find the link to an MP3 of a talk by
Terrence McKenna about Ayahuasca - I might be able to host
it or email it if you are interested?

i'm pretty sure you would like the book by jeremy narby
then.

i have no experience with dmt, nor mescalin, nor lsd. Only
psilocybin.

Will try all of them, when they appear in my life. Reading
up on the subject in advance is a really good idea.

I really like mckenna's talks. I would definitely like to
hear it for sure.
