Lets say i've got a non registered version of traktor 2 and the time has run out. to install it again i will probably need to delete some registry files to make the computer think i install it for the first time. i may be a complete idiot but does anybody know how to pull this off on a mac?
thanks in advance.

there's no such thing as a "registry" in Mac OS X
there is however a very deep seated file structure, which programmers like to hide necessary files in to counteract piracy and so on
to be honest mate you should really have used an install tracker on your system so you could track where Traktor was putting files.
your best bet now is macserialjunkie.com if the place still exists

that is, assuming you're running OS X...
because OS X is a UNIX based system that is generally closed off to the average user, many companies hide their necessary files in the deep directory structure of your hard drive....one file could be in /var/root, one could be somewhere else
a lot of the directories on your machine are hidden by default because they're part of this UNIX style file structure, and it is a complete pain trying to clean your system if you've no clue where files were installed :(

are you familiar with a UNIX command line shell such as bash or tcsh?
if so, you might be able to tinker around in your home folder, looking in the hidden directories and looking for hidden files
if you're not familiar with it, try and find someone who is :)

if my memory serves me correctly:
if you're running OS X 10.3.x your default shell should be tcsh
if you were running 10.3.x but upgraded to 10.4.x your shell will still be tcsh
if you are running a fresh install of 10.4.x your shell will be bash
the difference is minimal, but i just thought i'd let you know

One solution might be reinstaling the entire osx. but that requires some backup.
