I endorse every word said there by plaidzebra, even if that
does make me a nonce, he's on the money.

you have no spine, you nonce!

plaidzebra is always there, saying what is needed to be said
as effectively as can be desired, and the oaf will never
hear it

"Spine", that absurd fool, just naysaying everything and
countering anything new by bringing out Soul AND fucking
Jazz at the merest provocation gets very tiring immediately.

you know, that's the thing.

you're always trying to make yourself sound like some sort
of Robin Hood of messageboards.

fact is, you're probably one of the most consistently boring
individuals posting here.

haha, classic

whether or not im boring is up to you clowns...

what would the "robbin hood of messageboards" be? im
confused...

i just think its funny that none of you realize that you
wont be listening to this bullshit youre into when your
older...its a passing thing...and as opposed to looking for
things with lasting power and some soul / life to it you
just drool over electronic noodling, whatever it is, as long
as it comes from a reputable name...

your lack of taste and lack of criticism is on par with kids
who buy brittany spears (and the like records) you just love
what your fed...without any deeper thought to it...

I've listened to Aphex, among a lot of other broadly termed
"electronic" artists, for about 14, 15 years (obviously not
non-stop, but pretty much) just because I'm trying to get in
the Guiness Book of Records for "Saddest Twat mindlessly
following a Passing Fad the Longest"

If you're talking about people who think Analords
1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 11 are any good, well done, you're
correct. If however you mean Boards of Canada/SAW 2, I have
to disagree. I will certainly be dust them off from time to
time in 20 years (provided I'm still around) for a listen.
Hell, I still like some music I did when I was 4 and I don't
expect to change as much in adult life as I have since I was
a child.

20 years, it is, isn't it... good lord. Here's one for you,
can you remember... is it Ultramagnetic MCs but there's a
track on one of those compilaitons that goes "MC Ultra... MC
Ultra"... I'm sure.... I'm sure it's on the same one that's
got "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire...", I am
trying to picture my copied cassette with tipex and biro
graffitti... either 6... or 10... or... 11?

How would a loudmouth kid like you know what soul and life
in music is. You're waving your Otis Redding around like you
were a literature critic teaching kids on Lord of the Rings
messageboards why they have crap instead of brain if they
haven't read Proust. What the fuck are you doing this for?
How old are you? And do you really think you're the only one
here listening to a wider spectrum of music?

I don't know if you mean an electro tune that uses the MCs
Ultra Sample but if it was the sample was lifted from Ego
Trippin by the Ultramagnetic MC's.

Ego Trippin... Ego Trippin, thank you very much, I will
investigate. I know Ultramagentic MCs turned up a couple of
times on the compilations, "Travelling at the speed of
thought" and "Funky"... I need to track them all down I
think....

*investigates*

I got Ego Trippin now... that "MC's ultra" bit is the bit
that, I suspect, was sampled... hmm... OR it was a remix of
this track.... I will get hold of Critical beatdown
nonetheless as there's an Ultramagnetic MCs shaped hole in
my life, thanks men, sterling work!

It is that.. it is.... but my warped memory makes me think
it might have been a remix of that... it was definitely that
track... but slightly... slightly different. But then, that
could be my memory playing up. But cheers, that's 15 or more
years of wondering pretty much cleared up in a matter of
minutes.
