I saw this last night, and thought it was somewhat unusual for a film featuring martial arts - there are only three major fight scenes in the movie - at the very start, round about the middle, and just about the very end. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? I enjoyed it, Bob Hoskins was funny in it.

I've seen a number of his earlier non western films, which I generally prefer -- I haven't, however, seen The Moon Warriors.

I'm a fan of Jet Li (Hong Kong movies) and I never heard of Moon Warriors maybe I saw it but with another title. Danny The Dog was very enjoyable I knew it wasn't all fight scenes so I wasn't disappointed. The initial fight scene is brutal, great realistic fighting choreography with amazing lighting and camera angles.

I had no idea what sort of film it would be before I watched it, so it was all a surprise for me. Even Morgan Freeman was not nearly as annoying as he usually is.

I think so too Morgan was quite alright in this movie. Jet Li was surprisingly good acting in the drama scenes specially when he was alone in his cage.

Have you watched The Tai Chi Masters? The Once upon a Time in China trilogy is also great. Shaolin Temple I really want to see that one I only saw Shaolin Temple 2 and it was very bad.
Other non Jet Li m/a I would recomend are the Iron Monkey and the two Drunken Master movies.
