what's great about him? i'm asking seriously, no pun intended. I'm just not understanding, not getting it. I hated the Groundhog Day movie, for example. How can one see that an actor is good? Do I need to study acting to properly estimate movies i see? I noticed recently that I like films which my friends hate, for quick example Naked Lunch. A fucking great movie, i apriori liked it, with no outside influence - it has a wide bright color scheme, crazy unexplicable events going onscreen, music which kind of fits, it can be funny and not, depending on your mood, but I was the only person in the room who didn't think it's crap. |

Slightly excessive Murray thread Matvey, most people like him because of his deadpan delivery, ironic outlook and inspired improvisation. He is definitely an actor that attracts polar opposite opinions though. |

...polar opposite opinions i don't think he sucks, just in case anyone thinks so. Movies with him (the two or three i saw) don't suck, too, but the groundhog day seems to be the closest to suckage to me - and this is not about Murrays performance which i can't judge, but about the story. |
