I have on loan a:

MicroKork Synth/Vocoder
-----
i'm trying to set it up so i can record midi information
from it to a program like FLs. The persont that lent this
to me gave me MIDI to USB connectors. I plugged in the In &
Out to the respective ports but when i hit the key board FL
or Reason doesn't seem to see it. I checked the midi
settings and did a search for new control surfaces etc.

how do i set this up to record midi information and make it
play back that data on the synth??? Help!!

1st things first, make sure that the In on the USB interface
connects to the OUT on the keyboard, and vice versa. I can't
speak for fruity loops, but in reason there is a 'MIDI In
Device' where you must select your midi/usb connector and
then pick some synths on channel 1, channel 2, etc. and you
should hear sound coming through when you press the keys,
assuming the midi functionon your keyboard works like it
should.

the Midi In device is at the very top of the reason rack.

You have to set the midi-in port on the synth you're using
in the fruity wrapper.

hmm, that doesn't seem to work, for some reason the little
midi response light doesn't seem to react to any midi
signals as my m-audio controller normally does. i can't
even get this thing to play a fruity application. i tried
using a vst and got the same thing. too. hmm

it will allow you to play through malstrom and subtractor as
though they are hardware synthesizers, and also to allow you
to record into the sequencers in reason, yes.
