was just listening to one word extinguisher, and got to
thinking that I'd like to hear instrumentals of almost all
of his songs featuring rapping and such. I was just curious
who here would consider that a ludicrous statement. I was
talking with a friend who makes some sweet electronic jams
recently, and while discussing his approach to music making
and my own, we agreed that we would probably significantly
change/remove the vocals on a lot of the tracks.

Agreed. I like his non-vocal stuff better. But that's maybe
because I'm not particulary into hip-hop

prefuse works both ways. thing is, there is less variation
in the tracks he made for vocals, and thus it wouldn't be
quite as good sans vocals.

yeah, the vocals on most p73 tracks are quite integral. the
instrumentals are good, but he really is meant to be a
hiphop producer.

for a good example, 'the end of biters' would be absolute
shit without all those vocal cuts.

The EP in between his first two albums was his best work.
Those were some good instrumental diddies.
