That's pretty radical. What did you do under the hood?

oh yeah, and if you ever race anywhere near western NC, let
me know. (seems like you said you might hit up tennessee
sometime a while back.)

Looks excellent. Videos of you racing it please. I love
focuses, great fun cars. I've driven far more powerful/quick
ones, but none have come close in terms of how much fun it
is to drive. My off road experience of using them is limited
to a dirt track, a muddy "greenlane" and a blat around a
field, but even in stock form it's fairly competent. I don't
know m

My dream "obtainable car" is a Focus ST/RS. I may well spend
my car allowance on a second hand one early next year.

On the subject of cars, I saw a Ultima GTR at a
bike/fast car meet on NYE. Bloke driving it was massively
competent and did a fantastic powerdrift out of the car
park. I think boy racers are a bunch of clowns, but people
who can really handle a 200mph+ beast deserve respect.

wicked,
yeah i wish ford US would bring the damn AWD RS over.

fuking ass-clowns.

awd rally cars are mighty expensive to race though,
replacing drivetrain/differentials gets VERY costly VERY
fast.

thanks

Yeah, same with all sorts of racing. You save for years to
build your vehicle, then have to spend more than you earn on
new pads, tyres, oil and filters, brake fluid, crash damage,
engine rebuilds, etc. :)

I was looking at the possibility of competing in
this in a few years time, but speaking to one of
the lads about the ongoing cost after the comparatively
cheap race bike (£7000, even for a brand new one), I
decided it was a bad idea. The saying, "Everything you have,
you will spend on racing." Seems to ring true.

I'll stick to traffic light grand prixs for now ;-)

Best of luck racing.
