LAZY_LOORE

A de/re/construction of an instrumental track by Andy Loore

(I always choose the worst times to spam music)

A nibble! this IS exciting!

I also uploaded it here with "liner notes" making
it my first netlabel cassingle release.

I like it but I don't know who Andy Loore is. Probably
because I am some sort of fucking bog nobber. Regardless,
cool sounds. Stick more up, you fey warrior!

He's some guy that someone's old uncle used to listen to,
redolent of stale cardboard and damp basement carpets, found
behind a disused bar in a box of records behind some weight
training equipment.

I noticed you have a 15megs account as grinning ape - hint -
you can score yourself a five on each track - give yourself
a boost before the Great Unwashed get ahold of you.

I just signed up to rate you, then I got sucked in.

So far this is like myspace...but without the crippling
social stigma.

Arf, why thank you arf. That means a lot to me because a)
you have good taste and b) electronic isn't your main
interest-genre. I've been doing little sketches like this
one for so long it's hard to judge anymore and nice to get
some positive feedback.

I thought he had uploaded that Julie Andrews thing there
too...?

have you thought about maybe adding other layers (feedback
or noises perhaps) over this sort of thing? that might not
work, i don't know. there is something quite intangible
about this like it is, which is very enjoyable. anyway, i
would love to hear some sort of album by fleetmouse in this
style.

Yeah I'm sort of stumped as to where to take this kind of
thing next. It clearly needs more elements but I don't want
to lose the intangible quality as you put it. In particular
I don't want it to turn into something with a song structure
or even a steady meter.

Feedback is an intriguing idea - and when you say noises,
what do you mean, like a bag of glass marbles being spilled
onto a glass topped table?

yeah, kind of... i'm thinking of sharp, clearly-recorded
sounds that may be random like marbles... maybe voices
even.

i suggest try playing with a microphone, a guitar distortion
pedal, and your ordinary computer speakers. you may be
surprised by how much you can control and manipulate
feedback and by the range of sounds you can produce.

that was nice. i'd be interested in hearing the original
source to hear what it came from.

reminded me of tim hecker at certain moments and a bit like
this once twerk song i heard once

Thank you rogu and thecurbcreeper. A comparison to Tim
Hecker and Twerk, oh :melt:

Here is the original by Andy Loore. Nice chord
progression in this one, I know I've heard it before in some
classical piece I can't put my finger on, something
extremely well known by the likes of Bach or Pachelbel I
think. So I don't feel bad for continuing the heritage of
theft.

oh. i'd hoped this would be about how to repair broken
toilets. the seat on mine has bust its nodules.

Did something ooze out of these nodules when they sploded?

no, they're just bust. no booms or bangs or splats. no
oozing or seeping either. just sitting at a funny angle.

also, your track isn't poop.
