I was just reading on Wikipedia that the PC game Fallout 2
features the track "windowsill" from Selected Ambient Works
Volume II, I played through the game before... but I don't
remember that being in there. Can anyone confirm this? What
area is it in?

I always liked the music in Fallout 2, but I think I would
have recognised it had I heard it.

Someone on here a couple of yeas back reckoned it had SAW 2
tracks in it. If I recall correctly, the final conclusion
was that it (and fallout 1)had SAW2-like music and that the
guy who did the music for it had said in an interview that
he was an aphex fan, but I don't think the track(s) was
actually used on it.

SAW2= Great Album
Fallout 2 =good game

fallout and fallout 2 are both good.. arcanum, however, is
awesome! Didn´t notice the music much in fallout or fallout
2, but that´s why it´s called ambient, I guess...

Loved Fallout and Fallout 2.

I liked Arcanum's vibe but all in all it was a pretty
unbalanced and rushed game. The music for it is amazing,
however, and the full soundtrack is availible for download
(legally)

right here

yeah, there should be some arcanum 2 that does the fallout 2
thing where the sequel actually isn`t crap... it sucked that
you couldn`t go higher than lvl 50 or whatever in arcanum...

are there other games that are similar to these, by the way?

Main problem I had in Arcanum was that some of the classes
had it way easier then others. The game was so much easier
for spellcasters then warriors or gunslingers. The
fundamental game was rather boring and the motivations
ill-explained as well.

That said, I think it had some of the best artwork and music
I've seen in an RPG. That's the only reason I kept playing
it.

Supposedly there is a patch that addresses most of Arcanum's
problems, I would look into that if I was ever going to play
it again.

If you're looking for something similar: Baldur's Gate and
Baldur's Gate 2 might be what you are looking for. Also
Planescape Torment is very much like Fallout, and I beleive
it had the same developers. I really loved that one.

Fallout Tactics is also good, but it's more of a "Commandos"
game rather then an RPG.

hmm.. I played baldurs gate 1, and it wasn´t really good
enough to keep my attention on it.. baldurs gate 2 I
actually played through, but it got boring after a while,
and I guess I finished it just because I´d already gotten
as far as I had... will look into planescape.

The Fallouts are my favorite pc rpgs.
I always thought it was SAWIIie but Im sure there are no
Aphex Tracks in the game like everyone else is saying.

Good soundtrack though. Ultra good
