I really have to take some time to put all my records in a certain order. Just to avoid spending half an hour trying to find what suddenly comes to my mind... So what do you ppl do? Alphabetical? Stylistical? Chronological? Astrological? |

I have to admit I'm having problems on my new 20GB (that's 10,000 songs) mp3 player because I think categorising too deeply. Instead of Rock as a broad genre with many songs I a few songs in several sub-genres such as Acoustic, Alternative Rock, Soft Rock, Indie Rock, Hard Rock. Brit Rock.. ahem, you get the picture. it's tough to draw a line |

clever idea. out of interest does anybody know of a website which explains genres and their sub-genres, possibly giving an example of each? Where does Ambient become Meditative and what's the difference between Electronic and Electronica? What is Braindance? |
