tolerable...dont see why everyone is so worked up about it
though

These bands are everywhere, and the kids think it's really
fresh and daring. My generation is a bunch of pricks with no
imagination.

Franz Ferdinand=Orange Juice rip-off.
Bloc Party=Watered down Gang of Four
The Libertines=The Jam
Pete Docherty=Shane McGowan
Kasabian=Oasis+90's beats
The Kaiser Cheifs=Just shit generally.

I call it "Topshop Rock".

gang of four, obviously sweet jams...

im listening to willie nelson now...everything is better

The best guitar bands I reckon are Soulwax, Phoenix and
Whitey. Those fellas have got the chops to make it to the
tops.

"The Man. Oh, you don't know The Man? The Man's everywhere:
in the White House, down the hall, Conor McNicholas ; he's
The Man! And The Man ruined the ozone, and he's burning down
the Amazon and he kidnapped Shamu and put her in a chlorine
tank! Okay! And there used to be a way to stick it to The
Man, it was called rock 'n roll. But guess what? Oh no! The
Man had to ruin that too with a little thing called the NME!
So don't waste your time trying to make anything cool or
pure or awesome 'cause The Man's just gonna call you a fat
washed up loser and crush your soul. So do yourself a favor
and just give up!"

i just gotta defend the franz and say that take me out is
probably the most ingenious breakdown in the history of
everything.

Then you've never heard any other breakdowns ever, and were
deaf until you heard that song, then immediately became deaf
again as soon as it finished. Or you just wear a suit jacket
with jeans.
The best breakdown of 2005 was in Roman Flugel's "Geht's
Noch?", BTW.

I really do like Take Me Out. Most FF songs I've heard were
forgettable and hookless but this one is viral. I first
heard it on that PSP commercial. I was like ''cool, catchy
song''. Yeah.

All their songs are worse than the worst Placebo B-side, (I
don't like them, BTW)

rock music is in it's worse state at the moment. the only
bands that i like that are 'modern' are Death From Above
1979 and some of the Bronx. fact: most new rock sucks.

i don't see what the big deal is with franz ferdinand
myself. i can't really stand most of these "Topshop Rock"
(as swears puts it) bands myself. that's why i don't really
listen to radio at all.

Yeah, it's funny how guitar records from the late seventies
and early eighties sound more modern than ones made today!

modern music sucks. noone seems to put as much thought into
composition of their music, time into the production, etc.
everything is rushed and condensed and glossed over. there
is nothing raw about modern music for the most part.
